Hospitalization Instructions


Procedure for Hospitalization Before Surgery:

  1. Schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist for an examination through the call center (+7 (499) 110-45-45) and receive a referral to see a surgeon.
  2. Consult with the surgeon (sign the informed consent form and obtain a referral for tests and specialist examinations for the surgery).
  3. Complete all tests (the validity of tests is limited!) and undergo examinations by specialists according to the provided list.
  4. Rinse the tear ducts on the 3rd floor in room 332 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on a first-come, first-served basis.
  5. If you have diabetes, you must obtain a report from an endocrinologist at the M.M. Krasnov Research Institute of Eye Diseases (by appointment through the call center). Consult an endocrinologist on the 3rd floor in room 330 from Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
  6. Consult an anesthesiologist (by appointment through the call center) on the 3rd floor in room 330 on Monday and Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and in room 343 from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  7. Submit your outpatient card to obtain a hospitalization sheet on the 4th floor in rooms 407 or 485.
  8. Wait for a phone call to schedule your surgery on Friday between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
  9. On the day of hospitalization, come STRICTLY AT THE APPOINTED TIME to the 2nd floor reception desk in the hospitalization department (please note that the reception desk does not register patients before the appointed time of hospitalization).

What to Bring for Hospitalization:

  • Eye drops for regular use and medications taken by the patient on a regular basis for their general condition.
  • Change of clothes (robe or tracksuit), change of footwear, personal hygiene items, and dishes (cup, spoon, fork).
  • A change of underwear is required on the day of the surgery.

Please Note!

  • All items should be packed in plastic bags.
  • Suitcases, sports bags, etc., are not allowed during hospitalization!
  • If hospitalization is on a paid basis, please bring the necessary amount for the payment of medical services. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card.
  • If you cannot arrive on the scheduled day and time for hospitalization, please notify the Institute in advance through the call center.

Necessary Documents for Hospitalization:

  • Passport + copy
  • Compulsory medical insurance policy + copies of both sides
  • SNILS (pension insurance certificate) + copy
  • Exact name of the organization (workplace) for the issuance of a sick leave certificate, if necessary.
  • Results of all laboratory and instrumental studies and specialist conclusions (and their copies) with the stamp of the medical institution and the date of completion (according to the list provided after the surgeon’s consultation).

If Individual Care for an Adult is Required, the Accompanying Person is Allowed in the Hospital with the Following Test Results and Conclusions:

  • Chest X-ray or fluorography with description (valid for 1 year).
  • Blood test for antibodies to HIV, RW, HCV, HbS-Ag (valid for 1 month).
  • If the accompanying person is over 55 years old, an ECG strip with interpretation (valid for 1 month).
